Bhubaneswar: The Odisha tourism principal secretary, Mona Sharma, Thursday said ten luxury hotels would come up in Bhubaneswar city soon.
“The process to speed up the hotel construction work has begun”, she informed coming out from a review meeting chaired by the chief secretary AP Padhi. Stating that the state under the new Tourism Policy Odisha will provide sops to attract investors in the sector, said that the state is creating a land bank of 1000 acres for development of tourism related infrastructures in the state.
Attending the meeting the president of Hotel & Restaurant Assocition of Odisha (HRAO), JK Mohanty, urged the government to organise road shows in foreign countries where there is an inflow of trourist to the state. Established tour operator of Odisha Benjamin Simon assured the government that the stake holders would contribute for the growth of the tourism in the state.
