Bhubaneswar: The Odisha rural development minister, Bikram Keshri Arkhu demanded that the Centre should provide 100% fund for the Prime Minister Gramya Sadak Yojana(PMGSY) in the state.

Arkhu, while speaking at the union rural development ministry review meeting at New Delhi on Wednesday, said that the Centre was providing full fund for the PMGSY till 2015-16. However, the funding pattern has changed to 60:40 since then. Stating this has affected developing states like Odisha, the minister urged the Centre to restore 100% funding for the programme from 2015-16.

The union RD minister, Narendra Singh Tomar, presided over the review meeting which was also attended by Odisha RD principal secretary BP Sethi and RD enigneer-in-chief  Jaganath Patel .
