Bhubaneswar: India’s former hockey captain Olympian Dilip Tirkey has been appointed as the chairman of profit making Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC)

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Friday appointed Tirkey as the head of OTDC.

Tirkey, former BJD Rajya Sabha member, is an ace hockey player of the country. India hockey team has played uner his captainship in Olympics.

OTDC, an Odisha government concern incorporated in 1979, made a turnaround in 2016-17. The Corporation recently paid the dividends to the state government. OTDC is currently promoting tourism in the state and operate some of the existing tourist guest houses and transport fleets.
