Bhubaneswar: The Paradip Port Trust (PPT) and the Indian Oil Corporation of India Ltd. (IOCL) jointly announced a slew of mega projects worth about Rs11,000 crore, here on Monday.

The union minister for shipping, N itin Gadkari, union tribal affairs minister JualOram, union petroleum minister DharmendraPradhan are slated to be present on the occasion foundation stone laying and inaugural ceremonies of these projects.

At the joint press meet, PPT chairman Rinkesh Roy, and IOCL’s executive director TDVS Gopalkrishna, ED IOCL and SLC Oil Industries Pritish Bharat, CGM (Petrochemical Marketing) Sujoy Choudhury and CGM IOCL S Patnaik gave the details of the lined up projects.

The projects that are going to be inaugurated are a Polypropylene(PP) plant at the Paradip Refinery has come up with an investment of Rs3150 crore. The PP Plant will act as the mother unit in nurturing the downstream placstic processing units in the region. A 0.6 MMTPA LPG Import Terminal set up with a capital of Rs690 crore is ready to be commissioned.

The union ministers will also laid the foundation stone for a Monoethylene Glycol Plant set up with an investment of Rs5,654 crore at Paradip Refinery. A multi-purpose Berth to handle clean cargo will be inaugurated in this occasion.
