Bhubaneswar: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat Saturday said that the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh is working to organise the entire society and not only the Hindu society.

Addressing the intellectuals of Odisha, Bhagwat said,” We see both the nation and the society at par.” Stressing that the society needs to be changed for better, he said,” The Sangh is working to organise the entire society and not only the Hindu society.”

“We can’t change everybody in the society”, he said adding, “So the best one is needed to be changed.”

The RSS Intellectual Meet was attended by 1,500 people from various walks of life.

Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Pratap Sarangi, MP Aparajita Sarangi, BJP national vice president Baijyanta Panda were present.

The RSS chief accompanied by his second in command Bhaiyaji Joshi arrived here on Saturday. He is going to preside over the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal meeting which will be held for 6 days from October 15 to October 20. Over 400 office bearers of the RSS from all States are participating in this meeting.

The RSS national executive body meeting, which will be held in the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, here, will be attended by BJP’s national working president JP Nadda.

The annual executive body meeting will draw the road map of the RSS for the next one year. The meeting is expected to carry forward the RSS’ expansion agenda in the backdrop of abrogation of Article 370, NRC, Ram Mandir, ban on Triple Talaq, and forthcoming assembly polls.
