New Delhi: Odisha has received Rs 7,544 crore from Centre towards Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) by November 7,2019.

This was told to Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik, who reviewed the Central fund release position under CSS, here on Saturday. The release due under major people oriented schemes such as PMAY, MGNREGA, NSAP, PMGSY and other were reviewed where the State government is expected to get more than six thousand crores rupees.

The chief minister directed the top officials of the resident commissioner and special resident commissioner to closely follow up with the government of India in coordination with the State government departments.

Patnaik asked the concerned officials to continuously follow up the release of funds from CSS and bring it to his notice, if there is any delay. He also directed to pursue for the allotment of land to set up Odisha Cultural Centre at Delhi.

The chief minister also reviewed the implementation of 5T framework (Team Work, Transparency, Technology and Time leading to Transformation) and directed resident commissioner and special resident commissioner to expedite it for effective governance.

Odisha government’s 5T secretary VK Pandian, resident commissioner Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra and special resident commissioner Ravi Kant were present in the review meeting.
