Bhubaneswar: The State level Single Window Clearance Authority (SWCA) headed by chief secretary Asit Tripathy Saturday cleared six investment proposals worth Rs 1753 crore. The investment will be in metal and metal downstream, textile and apparel, plastic and tourism.

In the metal downstream, IMFA is proposing to set up a ferro chrome unit of 96,000 tonnes per annum and a 10 MW WHRB power plant with an investment of Rs547.19 crore at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur district. The plant would employ 900 persons.

Page Industries Ltd., the manufacturer of Jockey brand of garments is proposing to set up a garment manufacturing unit at Khorda with an investment of Rs257.50 crore. The unit will create employment opportunities for 3,500 persons.

Jay Bharat Spices plans diversification of its manufacturing unit with addition of potato chips/ wafers extruded puffed snack and cold storage facilities at Ramdaspur in Cuttack district with additional investment of Rs 50.10 crore. The employment opportunities would be for 550 persons.

Shree Malani Foam, makers of ‘Century’ brand mattress, is proposing to invest an additional Rs 10 crore to set up a Rebounded Foam Block (RFB) unit of 5 tonnes per annum capacity at Khorda.

Deo Residency and Resort proposes for expansion of its hotel at Baragadia in Kalinganagar of Jajpur district with an investment of Rs 53.69 crore.

Jaganath Steel & Power plans to ramp up its existing steel plant of 0.1 million tonne per annum to 0.3 million tonnes at Uliburu near Barbil in Keonjhar district with an investment of Rs 835.34 crore. The project would employ 501 people.

The development commissioner, Suresh Mohapatra, principal secretary steel & mines RK Sharma, industries secretary Hemant Sharma were present.
