Bhubaneswar: The Odisha high court has directed the State government to probe the Kunduli gang rape case by a Special Investigative Team comprising of three DIG rank police officers of Odisha. The court said it will monitor the case.

The rape victim’s mother has moved to the high court seeking CBI probe into the case. The crime branch police has submitted the closure report of the case. The court, however, after hearing both the sides has directed for a SIT probe while posting the case to December 16. Advocate Sriji Vausar is representing the victim’s mother in the court.

A minor girl in Koraput district was alleged gang raped by some people in uniform. The girl subsequently committed suicide.
