Bhubaneswar: The Odisha governor Prof Ganeshi Lal Friday lauded the alumni of NIT Rourkela for making their mark all over the globe and having brought glory to the country as well as to the institute.

Speaking at the global meet of NIT Rourkela Alumni Association held here, the governor said Indians are adept in adopting and adapting the new environment. The Indian philosophy proclaims unity in diversity. He urged the alumni to spread the fragrance of Indianness all over the globe, he added

“Man has come from bliss, will live in bliss and will go to bliss. University, Universe and Universal man are interwoven as zero, God and Infinity. Universalism is the beauty of Indian philosophy and that is more relevant in present day world,” the governor said.

Global Alumni Meet organising committee chairman Sanjay Kumar Mohanty, Alumni Association president Prabodh Padhee, advisor Padmashree Nalini Ranjan Mohanty and member organising committee Madhusudan Padhi spoke in the inaugural session.
