Bhubaneswar: Odisha police CID-Crime Branch in collaboration with ICICI Bank organised a two day workshop on ‘Bank Frauds- Prevention and Investigation’ as part of its capacity building exercise for police officers of commissionerate police and Central Range.

ADGP, CID,CB SK Priyadarsi inaugurated the workshop in the presence of IGP and SP of CID, CB and ICICI Bank senior executive officers from Mumbai head office, here on Thursday.

As many as 35 officers from the field and officers from Crime Branch are attending the workshop.

“Since crime like ATM fraud, credit card fraud, UPI fraud and other various online transactional frauds are o rise, an urgent need was felt for capacity building at cutting edge level of police stations to handle such type offences. The workshop aimed at training the officers in the police station level to investigate such type of offences effectively”.
