Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government Thursday cleared 8 projects worth investment of Rs 1,609.49 crores. The projects will generate job opportunities for 1450 persons.

The State Single Window Clearance Authority headed by chief secretary Asit Tripathy cleared the project of Tata company’s tea blending and packaging plat at Gopalpur in Ganjm district. The investment would be Rs 83.53 crore. Runaya Metsource LLP proposed to set up a coal tar pitch (CTP) plant at Jharsuguda with an investment of.Rs 211 crore. A HDPE and thermoplastic pipe plant at Ramdaspur in Cutttack will come up at an investment of Rs60.06. Astral Polytechnik is planning to add additional capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum of pipes.

Apeejay Surender Hotel & Park Group is planning to undertake expansion of its 5 star hotel in Bhubaneswar city with an investment of Rs 150 crore. Similarly, South India’s Kamath Gruop is comin up with a plan to expand its 5 star hotel in Khorda at a cost of Rs 51 crore.

Triveni Earthmovers is proposing to lay under ground slurry pipelines of 30 mtpa capacity by spending Rs 948 crore.

CDET Explosives Industries to invest Rs 55 crore in a plant of catridge explosives, bulk emulsion explosives, detonators fuse and caste boosters of 45,300 tonnes capacity. Apeejay Group plans to ramp up the capacity of its logistic park in Kalinga Nagar of Jajpur district with an investment of Rs 50 crore.
