Bhubaneswar: The patent information centre (PIC) under the aiges of Odisha goverment science & technology department has recommended 24 applications for patent registration. The Centre has established intellectual property rights (IPR) cells in 7 different universities of the State. It is now planning to set up 4 more such Cells this fiscal.

This was revealed at a training programme ‘Filing of Patent and Patent Search in India’ , held here on Thursday. The IPR training programme was addressed by joint secretary Debabrata Jena, BK Sahoo, senior scientist B Mohanty, project scientist Susant Rout, scientist T Pavankumar and scientists Lipika Sahoo from Bangalore.
