Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has empowered the principal secretary, health and family welfare, Nikunja Dhal to notify COVID-19 hospitals/ isolation facilities in the State.

The State development commissioner, Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, in a letter to the health principal secretary stated: Based on the discussion with the district collectors and the availability of suitable infrastructure, you are requested to notify the COVID-19 Hospitals / Isolation Facility that are already operational or are expected to be operational in the different districts. He has clarified that the capacity of beds that has been proposed is indicative and would be subject to change based on the local conditions while adding that the bed capacity includes beds for isolation cases, high dependency cases and critical cases.
