Bhubaneswar: In a bid to intensify the battle against the Coronavirus pandemic, the Odisha government has reinforced the chief minister’s office.

The CMO office has drafted the services of as many as 90 assistant section officers to monitor the measures to contain the spread of the deadly virus.

According to a home department order, the ASOs will be attached to the Monitoring Centre in the premises of the CM grievance cell.

The ASOs were drafted from the departments of higher education, law, water resources, rural development, MSME, tourism, planning & convergence, public enterprises, industries, forest & environment, sports, science & technology, skill development & technical education and OLIC.

The ASOs would monitor the grievances received regarding COVID-19 pandemics.
