Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik urged the prime minister Narendra Modi to continue the restriction on train and air travels to Odisha.

Patnaik, while speaking at the PM-CM video conferencing on Wednesday said, “June is the toughest month for Odisha because large number of migrants have returned and monsoon has also started”. Hence, he added, government of India should continue restrictions on train and air travel to Odisha.

Patnaik also urged the prime minister that the National Level Entrance Examinations should be conducted only after Sate Level +2 examinations are completed.

Stating that there are some people from Odisha stranded in Gulf Countries, he suggested that the government of India should take steps to bring them back as most of them are engaged in low paying jobs.
