Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) headed by chief secretary Asit Tripathy Friday cleared four industrial investment proposal worth Rs 2172.92 crore. The projects will create employment opportunities for 1122 persons.

The proposals are from Rungta Mines Ltd., Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd., and Wellman Steels Gangeya Ltd.

The Rungta Mines is proposing to set up a iron ore beneficiation plant of 35 mtpa tonnes capacity in Sundergargh district and an underground slurry pipeline project of 20 mtpa capacity with an investment of Rs 975 crore and Rs 951 crore respectively.

Shyam Metalics is going to ramp up it’s pallet plant capacity from 0.3 mtpa to 1.2 mtpa in Sambalpur district with an investment of Rs.76.92 crore.

Wellman Steels is proposing to set up a 1.8 mtpa iron ore beneficiation plant and a 1.2 mtpa pellet plant in Mayurbhanj district with an investment of Rs.170 crore.
