Puri (Odisha): World famous Puri Jagannath Temple would be opened for public on the eve of Christmas day.

The Puri Temple chief administrator Krishan Kumar said that the temple would be opened on December 24, 2020. He said for four to five days the temple would be opened only for residents of Puri town. From 3rd January 2020 the temple would be opened for all.

Krishna Kumar said that the temple would remain closed on the new year day and 2nd January as the temple administration is now not in a position to handle huge gathering.

The temple chief administrator said, devotees from other districts outsiders with Corona negative certificate would only be allowed in to the temple. Mask is mandatory for entry into the temple.

The high power decision making body of the temple, Chatisha Nijog, has decided for opening of the temple. The State government will be moved soon for opening of the temple.
