Bhubaneswar : XIM Bhubaneswar conducted the Annual Entrepreneurship Conclave: KICKSTART 2022, hosted by X-Seed – The E-Cell of XIM, here in the campus recently. This year the theme was “Partage D’Experience.”

The event was graced with the presence of Vikas
Madaan, Senior Director, Accenture; Arun Pandit, Co-founder, Hyphen SCS; Dr. Sanjukta Badhai, Evangelist, Start-up Odisha, and Anuj Jindal, Senior VP, Medi Assist, who shared their valuable insights with the audience.

The session commenced with the speakers lighting the lamp, followed by an introduction by our moderator for the day, Prof. D.V. Ramana, Professor, Accounting, Ph.D. (Utkal Univ.). Professor D.V. Ramana presented the topic, “Partage D’Experience.”

The first speaker of the day, Vikas Madaan shared insights on the qualities an entrepreneur develops upon and laid importance on adding value and experimenting. Mr. Madaan mentioned, “Safe entrepreneurship is even if I don’t achieve my targets, I will still get my paycheck.”

Arun Pandit, co-founder of Hyphen SCS. He shared his journey and emphasized the significance of being passionate and networking. Pandit also stated, “In the past one and a half years, I have learned that “Less is more” in a start-up. You have to be the biggest promoter of your idea. It is an iterative process, and you learn something new with each experience. You should be data analytics-driven and should quantify everything in start up.

Dr. Sanjukta Badhai, Evangelist, Start-up Odisha, who talked about the start-up world and how they are growing in Odisha, specifically. He put forward the point, “Startup Orissa’s vision is to ensure that the start-up ecosystem in the state should flourish in a conducive environment. They focus on infrastructure and innovation, capacity building, funding, and access to the market to develop a robust start-up ecosystem in the state.”

Anuj Jindal, who sighted that the key to entrepreneurship is self-confidence. He added, “You are your support system, power, and resource. If you are going for entrepreneurship, look into the mirror and have confidence in the person you see.”

After the talk by the eminent speakers was the much-awaited question and answer session where the bright minds of XIM, University asked questions relevant to the start-up world.

The summit concluded with an ending note by Prof. D.V. Ramana and a vote of thanks from Sunil Dumre, the X-Seed co-ordinator.
