Bhubaneswar: Aditya Birla Public School Bhubaneswar conducted an online book review activity on account of World Book Day for the students of classes VI to XII. The activity was designed to encourage students to read books from a wide range of genres, including comics, science fiction, biography, and space science.
The range of books helped to cater to the varied interests and reading levels of the students. This helped to ensure that every student had a book that they enjoyed reading, which in turn helped to motivate them to participate in the book review activity.
The Principal of the school, L N Dash, addressed the students and praised their efforts in participating in the book review activity. He emphasized the importance of reading books, which helps to improve language skills, cognitive development, and analytical thinking. He encouraged students to make a habit of giving away books as birthday gifts, which can help to instill a love for reading in others. He also announced that regular book review activities will be conducted on a fortnightly basis, which will help students to improve their reading and critical thinking skills.
The English department of the school coordinated the book review activity well. They helped the students to select appropriate books, guided them on how to write book reviews, and also helped to conduct the online book review activity smoothly.
The regular book review activities will help students to improve their reading and critical thinking skills, which will prove beneficial for their academic and personal growth.
