Bhubaneswar: The Department of Hospital Administration, AIIMS Bhubaneswar in collaboration with UNICEF and the Regional Chapter Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) is organizing a one-day Seminar on Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety on Friday at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
The World is witnessing a rapid advancement in healthcare services with the inclusion of technology in health on a global scale. Irrespective of the level of healthcare, technology is now necessary for the implementation, monitoring, and sustainability of the services. With the growing complexities of healthcare, the chances of harm to patients also exist like failure in patient identification,
communication, hospital-acquired infections, surgical or medication errors, bedsores, or even a patient fall.
There is a need for periodic training in these topics to sustain the healthcare quality and prevent patient harm. The dynamics of hospital administration are changing with
trained professionals now managing hospitals and healthcare services and contributing towards patient safety. This seminar shall have interactive sessions by
senior Faculty Members from AIIMS Bhubaneswar- Professor (Dr) Jawahar S K Pillai, Department of Hospital Administration, Professor (Dr) Bijayini Behera,
Department of Microbiology, and Additional Professor (Dr) Akash Bihari Pati, Department of Pediatric Surgery and external resource persons Dr Subhrojyoti Bhowmick, and Professor (Dr) Suneel C Mundkur who are experts in Healthcare Quality and NABH Assessors. control practices.
