Bhubaneswar : The month-long Hindalco GET Training – 2025 by the CSIR-Institute of Minerals & Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT), Odisha, concluded on Tuesday.

The valedictory ceremony of the One Month External Technical Training Program (Metallurgy & Chemicals) for GETs of Hindalco Industries, held from July 7 to August 5 was graced Sanjiv Kumar Singh CMD, Hindustan Copper Ltd. and Bibhu Mishra Advisor, Hindalco.

This program was attended by 39 GETs from various working stations of Hindalco Industries.

Sanjiv Kumar Singh, the chief guest addressing the participants highlighted the importance of copper and allied fields over the centuries taking several examples and also emphasized on the way forward for the GETs in their respective fields towards the vision of Viksit Bharat, which also included a very productive interaction with the participants,

Bibhu Mishra, the guest of honor addressing the gathering focused on the aluminium sector with specifics. Further he also narrated about the importance of regular training and interactions with academic and industry stakeholders in shaping the future of the engineering and technology sectors and interacted with the GETs.

Dr Ramanuj Narayan, Director, CSIR-IMMT has addressed the gathering (virtual mode) and detailed on the various activities of CSIR-IMMT and also CSIR and further stressed on the importance of collaborations and joint initiatives among the potential stakeholders from academia, industry and society at large.

Coordinator of this GET training Dr Kali Sanjay, Chief Scientist & Head-HBEM and BD presented his thoughts and remarks on efforts behind the planning, design and execution of the program and also expressed his observations on how the program is carriedout throughout this one month.

Dr L D Besra, Head-MCIE has presided over the valedictory program and gave welcome address and made special remarks on the conduct of this program.
