Bhubaneswar: TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has taken extensive measures to ensure a reliable and safe power supply for the upcoming Historic Baliyatra festival in Cuttack.

TPCODL has committed to electrifying the entire 130-acre Baliyatra fairground, with preparations focused on providing round-the-clock power throughout the event. Around 1,000 temporary connections have been facilitated for stall owners, who have praised the smooth and efficient application and connection process this year.

TPCODL has taken various steps in building infrastructure like above 10,000 kva capacity has been instilled to cater estimated load approximately 3 megawatts. Further additional safety precaution are taken by proper fencing of substation, connecting various conductors with LTAB cables etc.

Around 200 employees of TPCODL are working to provide reliable and safe electricity services in the Baliyatra ground. In addition, about 600 electricity poles have been installed at the Baliyatra ground.To further support the fair, TPCODL has established 10 Fuse Call Centers, ready to address any grievances or technical issues that may arise, ensuring smooth power management across the fairgrounds.

It is estimated that around one crore people will attend this year’s Bali Yatra, which will run from November 5 to 12.
