Paradeep: Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), presented the “Beti Padhao Scholarships’ to 143 meritorious girl students from Paradeep at a ceremony held, here at Daksh Academy.
As part of its flagship CSR initiative, the scholarship program is designed to support girls from economically weaker sections by easing financial barriers and helping them pursue their academic goals.The initiative is aligned with the government’s efforts to promote the education of the girl child.
The scholarship recipients range from Class 9 students to those pursuing higher secondary education, undergraduate degrees, ITI, diplomas, engineering, medical, and other professional courses, as wel as state-level and national-level athletes.
AM/NS India has partnered with Protean eGov Technologies for mobilising the scholarships. Protean’s Vidyasaarathi, a pioneering corporate scholarship management platform, has managed the complete scholarship lifecycle including application, validation, allocation, and fund disbursement of the AM/NS India scholarships.
Chief Guest Niranjan Behera, ADM Paradeep, presented the scholarships in the presence of Ms. Sasmita Behera, Sarpanch, Paradeepgarh, Debendra Rout, Sarpanch, Nuagarh, Rohit Jena, Sarpanch, Bhutamundai, USR Raju, Head-Odisha Operations, AM/NS India, Sunila Das, Head-HR & IR, Odisha Asset.
Niranjan Behera, said,”This initiative by AM/NS India, which has already benefted 143 girl students from our Paradeep region. I am pleased to know that the company is planning many more such community development programs for the people of this region.”
USR Raju said, “The Beti Padhao Scholarship is our humble contribution toward empowering women. It serves as a catalyst for young women in the region to continue their education and realize their aspirations.
