Denver, USA: Renowned poet and author Ms. Swayam Prava Rath’s book of poems titled ‘, Shabda Phulara Tarpana ‘ was launched at Denver in USA at the Odisha fortnight celebration, organised by the Odisha Society of the America’s, Rocky Mountain chapter.
The book was formally released by Ms. Premalata Panda, one of the senior most member of the Odia community in Denver. Noted technocrat Anand Mohanty introduced the poet Ms. Rath in the presence of business woman and social activist Ms. Sonali Sucharita Ahuja.
After the book release, Ms. Swayam Prava Rath recited some of her poems and talked about the glorious traditions and rich cultural heritage of Odisha. She also praised the Odia community for their professional contributions, excellence in all spheres of life and for keeping the traditions of Odisha alive in a far way nation.
A lively cultural presentation, including Odishi dance marked the celebration. Notably present on the occasion were the OSA – Rocky Mountain chapter President and Treasurer Rajat Pradhan and Bijan Padhi.
The Odia community of Colorado and neighbouring US states were present in large numbers and paricipated in community singing of Odisha’s state anthem’ Bande Utkal Janani ‘.
