Berhampur: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has felicitated 30 meritorious students from across Southern Odisha by awarding scholarships to support their academic journey. The initiative reflects the company’s continued focus on nurturing future-ready talent, particularly among economically weaker and underprivileged sections of society.

The selected students are currently pursuing Diploma and ITI courses in different Govt. Polytechnic & ITI Colleges. Under this scholarship initiative TPSODL receives 80 applications across southern odisha. Among them 30 students were chosen through a structured selection process based on defined eligibility criteria and thorough scrutiny. The scholarship aims to ease financial constraints and encourage students to pursue technical education with confidence.

TPSODL also recognized 33 women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) who successfully completed a tailoring training program at the company’s Anokha Dhaga Centre. The participants were awarded certificates, marking their readiness to pursue livelihood opportunities independently and contribute to their families’ economic well-being.

TPSODL CEO Amit Kumar Garg said; “We are undertaking multiple initiatives through our CSR programs. Under this scholarship initiative, we feel proud that students are benefitting meaningfully. Through initiatives like tailoring training, we are also creating employment opportunities and aiming to empower women.”

TPSODL director Sunil Singh said; “ We are proud to serve the community and support people’s aspirations.”

Among the beneficiaries, Debanshu Panda (20), a second-year ITI student in the electrician trade at Berhampur Government ITI, shared his experience; “I lost my parents during COVID. I am currently pursuing ITI, and this scholarship will support my education.”
