Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) Bhubaneswar Branch organized a two-day National CA Conference with the theme “Professional Opportunities for Chartered Accountants (CAs).” The inaugural ceremony on Friday was graced by Lok Sabha MP Aparajita Sadangi and Rajya Sabha MP Sujit Kumar.

Key attendees included CA Sanjib Sangi (CCM and Conference Director), CA Jay Chhaira (PSEC Chairman), CA Rajib Shekhar Sahoo (Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee), CA Mahendra Kumar Sahoo (ICAI Bhubaneswar Chairman) and CA. (Dr.) Prithvi Ranjan Parhi, (ICAI Bhubaneswar Secretary)
The first day of the conference included three technical sessions, where prominent chartered accountants discussed the impact of global markets and emerging sectors. The sessions were titled: “Understanding the Future of Accounting in the US and Global Powerhouses” presented by CA Aniket Talati and CA Sanjib Sanghi, and “Skill Up, Scale Up” covered by CA Jay Chhaira. Nipun Mehta, founder of Blue Ocean Capital, also delivered a presentation on navigating trends and opportunities in the capital market.
The second day of the conference included four additional technical sessions focused on financial services, mutual funds, career opportunities in the UAE, and angel investing. The conference served as a significant technical forum, attracting a large number of chartered accountants and CA students from various states across the country.
The seminar was moderated by Vice Chairman CA (Dr.) Gautam Lenka, Treasurer CA. Soumya Sunil Sahoo along with managing committee members CA Gagan Bihari Das, CA Pranab Kishore Das, and CA Saswat Tripathi. The ICAI Bhubaneswar Branch is committed to empowering future chartered accountants by sensitizing them to modern methods and the challenges of the new financial landscape.
