Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister, KV Singhdeo, who also holds energy portfolio Wednesday said that the State is soon going to put in place a new EV Policy to strenghten the EV eco infrastructure.

Singh Deo said, ” Infrastructure is being strengthened for the construction of EV stations for charging electric vehicles throughout Odisha. For this, the Odisha EV Policy will be brought soon”.

Sarvotech MD Raman Bhatia along with his company’s senior executive Nitin Pereira met the Dy. CM today and made a presentation on solar power generation and construction of EV stations in the state.

The company representatives were earlier taken a field visit.The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary, Finance, Saswat Kumar Mishra, Managing Director, Gridco, Trilochana Panda.

Singhdeo was appraised that the UP government has shown interest in adopting the Odisha electricity management system. Three DISCOMs of Odisha have secured a place among the top 10 power distribution companies of the country, while another among the top 15 discoms of the country.
