Joda/Barbil (Odisha) : Jindal Steel has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to workplace safety, with its Kasia and Tensa Mines receiving multiple accolades during the 42nd Annual Metalliferous Mines Safety Week Celebration – 2024.

Organized by the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) in Barbil, the event witnessed participation from 113 metalliferous mines across the country. Jindal Steel’s consistent efforts in upholding high safety standards and fostering a secure working environment earned significant recognition, reinforcing the company’s dedication to its core values and statutory compliance.

Under Group A2, Kasia Mines was awarded in Multiple Categories: 1st Prize – Overall Performance, 1st Prize: Training, Health & Welfare, 2nd Prize – GVTC (Under Kasia Mines MDO), 2nd Prize – SMP, Safety & Statutory Compliance, 3rd Prize – Occupational Health Centre, 3rd Prize – Lead Indicator, Emergency Preparedness, Mock Drill & Accident Statistics.Under Group B1, Tensa Mines was awarded in Multiple Categories: 1st Prize – Training, Health & Welfare, 2nd Prize – Safe Handling of Explosives, 2nd Prize – Digitization in Mine Safety, 2nd Prize – Best Contractor Award (M/s Maa Sarala Private Works).
