Paradeep: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) installed water purifiers in six schools across Paradeep under its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Project ‘Trupti’, in a major step towards ensuring safe drinking water for school children. This intervention aligns with Sustainable Development Goals and reaffirms the company’s commitment to building healthier and more resilient communities.

The schools benefiting from this intervention include Nuagarh UP School, Musadia UP School, Pipal UP School, Chakradharpur High School, Sreemaa High School, and Baldia UP School. The water purifiers are expected to yield long-term benefits such as improved student health, reduced incidence of waterborne diseases, better hygiene practices, and a more conducive learning environment in these schools.

Dr. Vikas Yadvendu, Head – Corporate Social Responsibility, AM/NS India said, “Through Project Trupti, we are not just providing access to safe drinking water but also investing in a healthier future for the community. Small interventions in critical areas like health and education can have transformative impacts, and we remain committed to creating such meaningful change.”
