Bhubaneswar:Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on Tuesday visited the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) Head Office and the Gadakana Electric Bus Depot, where he reviewed the ongoing public transport operations and the growing electric bus network in Bhubaneswar.

During the visit, Ahuja interacted with bus crew members, guides, and technical staff to understand their experiences and challenges in ensuring smooth, safe, and reliable public transport services. At the CRUT Command and Control Centre, he reviewed the real-time monitoring system, data analytics, and schedule optimization processes that help enhance punctuality, efficiency, and commuter satisfaction.
Appreciating CRUT’s initiatives, Ahuja lauded the team’s innovative use of digital technology in public transport management. He urged them to maintain high service standards and continue promoting green mobility solutions. He also emphasized expanding electric bus operations to make urban transport cleaner and more sustainable.
CRUT Managing Director Dr. N. Thirumala Naik briefed the Chief Secretary on ongoing operations and upcoming initiatives.
Among others, General Managers Sanjaya Biswal and Sahadeb Samadhia, along with senior CRUT officials, were present during the visit.
