Bhubaneswar : The SOP is ready. The taking stock of the valuables of Ratna Bhandar of Puri Jagannath temple would be started soon.

This has been decided at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, here on Monday.

The Chief Administrator of Puri Temple Dr. Arabinda Padhee appraised the CM that all the preparation for the stock taking of the valuables of Ratna Bhandar has been made. He said the Temple Administration and the government is fully prepared for the launching of the exercise. According to him the Temple Management Committee has finalised a Standard Procedure of Operation (SOP) for the exercise.

He said the stock taking will be conducted in a transparent manner with photography and digitasation of record and calogues.

The last time the stock of Ratna Bhandar was verified in 1978. The present exercise would be to prepare a fresh list tallying the stock listed in 1978.

He told the meeting that the repair and restoration of the outer and inner Ratna Bhandar has been completed by the ASI in 333 hours of 95days.

Odisha Law & Works Minister Pruthiviraj Harichandan, CMs ‘advisor Prakash Mishra, Chief Secretary Ms. Anu Garg, CM’s Additional Chief Secretary Saswat Mishra, Law Principal Secretary Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samal and Puri collector Dibyajyoti Parida also deleberated in the meeting.
