Dhamra (Odisha) : Dhamra Port Company Ltd. (DPCL) has set a new record in cargo handling in 2025-26 financial year by handling 48.8 million tonnes of cargo as against 46.08 million tonnes the previous fiscal.
The port has excelled in railway, bulk cargo handling and ship-to-ship operation clocking new records. DPCL has handled 922 railway rakes in a month surpassing the previous record of 880 rakes. In 2026-27, it has handled 9604 rakes against 9139 the previous fiscal.
The monthly handling of bulk cargo has increased to 4.36 million tonnes from 4.11 million tonnes.
Ship-to-ship transportation has touched a new record of 0.61 million tonnes in March 2026. This has touched a historic high of 4.38 million tonnes in FY26 surpassing the previous record of 3.77 million tonnes.
