Bhubaneswar: In a significant boost to Odisha’s emerging aerospace and defence manufacturing ecosystem, BonV Aero marked a landmark milestone with the inauguration of its BonV Drone Park in Khordha by the Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi.

Spread across 30 acres in two phases, the BonV Drone Park involves a planned investment of ₹300 crore and is expected to generate 1000+ direct employment opportunities across advanced manufacturing, R&D, pilot training, and operations. The facility marks BonV’s transition from R&D led innovation to scalable UAV manufacturing, aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The BonV Drone Park will encompass an advanced drone assembly line with the capacity to manufacture thousands of drones to meet India’s rising UAV demand and will target the expanding global market. It will also include an advanced UAV assembly lines, Centres of Excellence(CoE), a dedicated skilling centre. Iit will also support ecosystem development through partnerships with MSMEs, component manufacturers, and academic institutions.

Satyabrata Satapathy, Co-Founder & CEO, BonV Aero, said, BonV Drone Park is envisioned as a catalyst for developing a distributed manufacturing network and strengthening the state’s position in the global UAV economy.

The event also witnessed the showcasing of BonV Aero’s flagship aerial platforms demonstrating cutting-edge indigenous heavy-lift UAV capabilities.

Looking ahead, BonV Aero reaffirmed its long-term vision to transform Odisha into a global hub for UAV innovation and manufacturing. In partnership with key stakeholders, the company is developing a state-of-the-art UAV test and validation facility in Rangeilunda – a dedicated facility that will accelerate drone testing, certification, and advanced trials while attracting UAV companies from across the country. Paired with targeted skilling initiatives, BonV aims to build a future-ready drone workforce cementing Odishas position as a self-sustaining center of UAV excellence.
