Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Friday launched  Administration of Incentives for MSME(AIM) , a web-based platform to enable entrepreneurs to apply for various incentives under IPR and MSME Policy online.

“I am sure, the web application, AIM , will ease the administration of incentives, thereby benefiting our MSME entrepreneurs,” said Naveen.

Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said a total 973 MSME units have been disbursed incetives of Rs 80.50 crore since 2011-12. These units have created job opportunity for 22,200 persons in the state.

Stating that the government of India has recokened Odisha as a Leader for facilitating reform for doing business in the state, he said the state government is committed to provide conducive environment to MSME entrepreneurs.

The MSME Policy and OFP Policy have different provisions for incentives for small and medium entrepreneurs. Earlier, the applicants have to apply to concerned RICs/DIC for availing these benefits. Now with the lauch of AIM, entreprenurs can apply for incentives online and avail the benefits within defiend timeframe.

The state minister for MSME, Prafulla Samal, chief secretary, AP Padhi, and MSME additional chief secretary , LN Gupta, were present on the occasion.
