Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has completed the installation of 100 per cent LED lightings in all its stations a week before the target. The exercise will save 21 lakh units of energy amounting to Rs 1.33 crore per annum.
Altogether 319 stations and passenger halts of the ECoR comprising 134 stations under Khurda Road Division, 118 stations under Waltair Division and 67 stations under Sambalpur Sivision are now equipped with 100 per cent LED lightings.

The Indian Railway had set a target to install LED lights in all the stations in the country by March 2018.
