Bhubaneswar: Mineral rich Odisha will have a mineral museum in Bhubaneswar.

The Society of Geo-scientists & Allied Technologists(SGTA) a professional body of mining experts, has set up the Mineral Museum in its own building in the capital city. The Museum will display rare specimen of of fossils, rocks, ores and minerals, said SGTA general secretary AB Panigrahi.

Odisha’s minister for steel & mines Prafulla Mallick will throw the Museum open for the public on Saturday.

Odisha is a store house of all types of minerals like iron ore, manganese, bauxite, coal, dolomite, limestone, graphite and also gem stones of exotic hues.
