Bhubaneswar: The Odisha labour department has taken action against 2 of its retired officers for corruptions.

The government has stopped gratuity payment of retired district labour officer Lakshmana Kumar Behera following his conviction by the Baripada special judge in a bribery case.

Similarly, the government has directed for recovery of Rs 1760 per month from the pension of retired deputy labour commissioner Dinabandhu Adhikari for dereliction of duty while he was serving in the Odisha Construction Workers Welfare Board.
