Puri: International famed sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo has a message on the occasion of Christmas. Through his sand arts he is spreading the message to make the world free of plastic.

Sahoo has created sand sculptures at Manas Sahoo Sand Art Park situated at the golden sea-beach of Light House here in Baliapanda with the theme dump plastics.

Thousands of people flock the beach of Puri during the Christmas holiday season. The artist has given in each of his sculptures a message of plastic-free country. Many problems of today are related to plastic, and for that, the artist has made a cartoon for children where he has given the message “We are ready to Fight Against Plastic Pollution” and has made a sculpture of a  Church and a Santa Claus in sand.

“It is my cotton bag, where is yours C

cotton bag?” is another message which is given through Santa Claus. And in one other sculpture, the artist has shown how the face of the earth has become ugly because of plastic pollution. Let us all come together to make a plastic-free world. For this, the artist through all these sculptures has made an exceptional effort to appeal to people to stay away from the use of plastic.
The artist has put hard work for the last fifteen days to make these sand arts. Each sculpture ranges from 8 to 10 feet and nearly 40 tonnes of sand is used in it.
