Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief secretary, Asit Tripathy, has assured the industries leaders land, water, power and raw materials.

At an interaction meeting with the leaders of Odisha based industries, the chief secretary has instructed the concerned secretaries to redress the grievances of the industries. He flagged of the issues of raw material security, law order, land, water and power besides policy related issues.

Indistries principal secretary Hemant Sharma presented an overviews of the industries represented by the leaders.

Idco CMD Sanjay Singh enlightened about the plan for water supply, parking facility and setting up industrial township. He also defined the State’s plan for skilling local youths with joint venture with JNTVTI or similar model training institute at Industrial zone.

The industry leaders from Tata Steel, Aditya Birla, Vedanta Ltd., Jindal Steel & Power, Tata Steel BSL, Tata Steel SEZ, T S Alloys Ltd., Ultratech Cement, Grasim Industries’ Chemical Division, Emami Paper Mills, JK Paper Mills, Jindal Stainless Ltd., SMS India Pvt. Ltd. were present at the session. Secretaries of concerned departments were also present.Various issues of the industries in Odisha, ranging from policy related issues, water allocation, infrastructure, material transportation and local law and order problem were discussed.

Chief secretary instructed the secretaries to work on:

1. Taking steps to boost air, rail and road connectivity.

2. Facilitating on raw material security, coal linkage facilities, better water supply facilities and monitoring of transport association may be taken care by concern departments.

3. Working on ways to improve water and energy services to the industries.

4. Preparing one pager for each industry by Industries dept with all its issues and resolution mechanism.
