Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, has advised to take location specific strategy to contain Covid-19 pandemic in four hot spot districts of the State.

Patnaik, while reviewing the Covid-19 situation in four hot spot districts of Khorda, Cuttack, Sundergarh and Rayagada districts, said that the positivity rate could be reduced in a week time takining location specific strategy.

The chief secretary, Asit Tripathy, said that a multi-disciplinary technical team has been formed taking seven professors of medical colleges to reduce the Covid-19 related deaths in the State.

Development commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, additional chief secretary health, PK Mohapatra, additional chief secretary and SRC PK Jena, home principal secretary Sanjeev Chopra and finance principal secretary Ashok Meena were present.

Chief minister’s secretary and 5T secretary VK Pandian coordinated the review meeting.
