Bhubaneswar: Saksham 2021, the month-long awareness campaign for fuel conservation by Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCAR) has been launched from Saturday in association with OIL, BPCL, HPCL and GAIL.

The tagline of this years campaign Green and Clean Energy to sensitize citizens about the need to adopt cleaner and greener forms of energy.

Odisha governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal wished PCRA, its partners and all take holders for SAKSHAM-2021. He appealed to all people to participate in this awareness drive of promoting ‘Green and Clean’ energy and inculcate the eco-friendly and energy efficient lifestyle and contribute towards sustainability of our ecosystem.

Saksham (Sanrakshan Kshmata Mahotsav) is aimed at propagating the message of Petroleum Conservation and Fuel Efficiency. The tagline of this years campaign Green and Clean Energy to sensitize citizens about the need to adopt cleaner and greener forms of energy.

As part of this campaign, various activities will be carried out to disseminate the message of awareness towards fuel conservation and energy efficiency across the country targeting diverse groups such as Students , Youth, Farmers, Drivers, LPG consumers and Industrial units etc. The activities will include group talks, quiz, debates, training programs, technical workshop, cycle rally, fuel efficient cooking and driving contests for private cars and commercial vehicles, which will be propagated on social media platforms and through television, radio, and news paper and magazines. SAKSHAM, an event with national outreach, will provide a perfect platform to align the masses with the government’s ambitious energy vision.

PCRA establish in 1978 under the aegis of ministry of petroleum & natural gas is engaged in promoting energy efficiency and conservation in various sectors of economy.
