Puri: No body can stop the work of Lord Jagannatha, said the Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik Monday while reacting to the Archeological Survey of India’s (ASI) restriction on construction activities around Jagannath temple on the ground that the ancient temple is a preserved manument.

Patnaik, who had the Darshan of Lord Jagannath today said in his interaction with media at Singhadwar the Central government should withdraw the notification.

Patnaik who visited the Srimandir for the first time during the time of covid pandemic said, ” I paryed to Lord for the peace and prosperity of people of odisha. I thank the people of Puri who have sacrificed their lands for development of Shree Mandir. Their sacrifices will not go waste.”
