Bhubaneswar: As the nation is facing serious power crisis due coal shortage , East Coast Railways (ECoR) hauled record load of coal to power plants across the country.
The Odisha head quartered railway zone has recorded highest ever loading of 66 rakes from Talcher.
The ECoR transported a record 2.6 lakh tonnes of coal in a single day.
The coal transported to thermal power plants located in Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
