Bhubaneswar: Rajya Sabha BJP MP Sujeet Kumar will be honoured with Second Sarat Kar Memorial Award for best young Parliamentarian. The Second Rajat Kar Memorial Award for best young cultural personality will be conferred on Arun Kumar Tripathy and Anima Kar Memorial Award for best young singer on Sohini Mishra.
The Awards will be handed over to the Awardees at Second Sarat Kar Memorial Lecture to be held at Geet Govind Sadan at 5.30 pm on Tuesday. The topic this year is Absence of Intellectuals in Contemporary Politics in India and Das Benhur will deliver the talk. Former minister Prafulla Ghadei will be the chief guest and academician and co-chairman of Sarat Kar & Anima Kar Foundation Suman Kar will preside over the meeting, said the chairman of the Foundation Sobhan Kar.
