Bhubaneswar : Odisha is set to host Global Energy Leaders’ Summit (GELS) 2025 from 5-7 December in Puri. India’s most influential energy leaders including three Chief Ministers, two Union Ministers and ministers from multiple other states are going to participate in this event.
This marks the first state-led national platform of such scale entirely dedicated to accelerating India’s clean energy transition. The Summit aims to create a new space for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and state-level leadership, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, global experts, and innovators.
GELS 2025 is designed to help states share success stories, learn from global best practices and outline actionable paths toward renewable energy adoption, grid modernization, and sustainable development. With multiple states and Union Ministries participating at the highest level, Odisha is emerging as a key driver of ndia’s clean energy vision.
The Global Summit will be attended by Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Naik, Minister of State, Power & New and Renewable Energy, GOI, Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Vishnu Deo Sai, Chief Minister of Chattisgarh.
Odisha Deputy Chief Minister KV Singhdeo, who also holds the portfolio of Energy said, “For Odisha, hosting GELS is not just an honour, it is a moment of transformation.
