Berhampur: TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) is accelerating the transition to clean and affordable energy across Southern Odisha through large-scale rooftop solar adoption.
TPSODL has successfully installed solar rooftop systems for 2,741 consumers under the Utility Led Aggregation (ULA) model across eight districts of Southern Odisha. With the district-wise distribution including Ganjam (1,565), Gajapati (152), Kandhamal (161), Rayagada (96), Koraput (61), Nabarangpur (260), Malkangiri (239), and Boudh (207).
In parallel, under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY), a total of 6,214 rooftop solar systems have been installed across the region. The installations are spread across Ganjam (3,822), Gajapati (230), Kandhamal (115), Rayagada (695), Malkangiri (142), Nabarangpur (211), Boudh (408), and Koraput (591).
Out of a total of 8,955 solar consumers, 4,850 households enjoyed zero electricity bills in April.
