Bhubaneswar: The prime minister Narendra Modi Tuesday lost his cool while addressing a election rally at Kendrapada in Odisha.

Modi not only named Odisha chief minister and BJD supreme Naveen Patnaik but also Odisha government officials while criticising the ruling party in the state.

“Naveen Babu Apka Jana Taya Hai”, he thundered. He almost stopped short of threatening and said, ” A handful of officials can not save you”. He charged the officials that these officials in connivance with the ruling BJD to unleash violence and terror against BJP cadres. Stating that these officials have arrested the development of the state, he added that this would not be allowed to continue.

The prime minister said that the demon nourished by BJD has become a fearful monster.

The prime minister’s rhetoric and his body language at Kendrapada and Balasore, the two Lok Sabha constituencies where he addressed the BJP election rally, were clearly exhibiting his frayed temper.

Modi said: “I have been maintaining decorum in public as I wanted Naveen Babu should bow out in dignity. But BJD’s act of desperation in unleashing violence against BJP workers like Bengal compelled me to speak out.

The prime minister wind up his campaign in Odisa with addressing the two rallies at Kendrapara and Balasore, the two Lok Sabha constituencies which will go to polls along with Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha constituencies in the fourth and final phase in the state. The state is having elections to 147 assembly constituencies simultaneously in four phases.
