Bolangir: A strange case of smuggling of pigeons in large number is now being probed by the Odisha forest officials. The pigeons were seized by the Railway Protection Force(RPF) from a train on Saturday.

Bolangir forest officials told India Whispers that the RPF which had seized the pigeons from a train has handed over the case along with the birds and one accused person to the State forest department for further probe.

Getting a tip off, the RPF, on Saturday morning, raided the Howrah-Jagadalpur Samaleswari Express at Bolangir station and seized 550 pigeons from a person. The pigeons were kept in seven baskets in a general compartment of the train.
