Bhubaneswar: The CBI Thursday arrested the former secretary of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Ashirbad Behera and send him to jail.
Behera along with one hotelier Kamalakanta Das was arrested by the CBI in connection with the Artha Tatwa chit fund scam and was produced in the CBI court today. The CBI sent him to Jharpada Jail here when his bail plea was rejected by the court.
The CBI SP, JN Rana, said that Behera was arrested and sent to jail when his bail plea was rejected by the court.”
Behera, however, said it was a conspiracy against him as he was going to contest the OCA election which is due now.
As per reports, Ashirbad Behera who donned the secreatary’s chair in OCA for quite a few years was arrested by the CBI early morning today along with owner of Hotel Solan Inn, Kamalakanta Das.
