Odisha high court gets Savitri Ratho as new judge from bar

Cuttack: Savitri Ratho has been appointed as the new judge of Odisha high court. She was elevated from bar to bench.

Ratho, daughter of former DGP of Odisha Prafulla Ratho, is the third woman to become a judge of the Orissa high court after justice Amiya Kumari Padhi and justice Sanju Panda.

The Supreme Court Collegium had in January recommended elevation of Ratho as judge of the Orissa high court. The President of India Tuesday appointed her as the new judge of the Orissa high court.
